At the end of each year, people all around the world gather in December to celebrate and reflect upon the most important thing to have ever happened: Pub Choir’s Christmas Fundraising Extravaganza!
“This is the objective best event in history”, is a direct future quote from your mouth as you sit under the night sky at Brisbane’s Riverstage, surrounded by friends, all full of snacks and bursting with song. There will be a raffle. There will be an orchestra. It will feel very cathartic to yell a song together.
What is Pub Choir? An improvised, comedy music lesson that requires you to listen to the instructions, try your best, and to help the people around you. You will be led to musical glory by Pub Choir creator and everyone’s fave crackpot choirmistress, Astrid Jorgensen. Every kind of singing voice is welcome, even very bad ones.
Every cent of profit will go towards Women’s Legal Service Queensland, who are protecting vulnerable women and families at a really tough time of year. Think of this as a Christmas gift to your city: being nice to strangers, making music together, and giving cash to an organisation that makes Brisbane better.
