The family-owned and operated Dean Group of Hotels has acquired the Kincraig Hotel in Naracoorte and is undertaking a significant renovation to revitalize the venue.
Ownership officially transferred to the Dean Group on 21 October, following a four-year closure of the hotel, apart from its bottleshop, which remained operational during that time.
The Limestone Coast pub is currently closed as the Dean Group embarks on an extensive transformation. The redevelopment plans aim to reintroduce the Kincraig Hotel as a vibrant, multi-faceted destination for the local community. Key features will include a dining room, main bar, kids’ play area, corporate function and meeting spaces, and much-needed five-star heritage accommodation in the region.
“This acquisition, combined with our commitment to a comprehensive renovation, represents a multi-million-dollar investment in both the hotel and the local area,” the Dean Group stated. “We aspire to become a cornerstone of the Limestone Coast community by highlighting regional food, wine, and accommodation. Having operated the Macs Hotel in Mt Gambier since 2010, we are proud members of this community and are excited to bring the same high standard of hospitality to Naracoorte.”
Founded in 2001, the Dean Group of Hotels also owns the Macs Hotel, Largs Pier Hotel, Walkers Arms Hotel, The London Tavern, and the Peninsula Hotel Motel in Taperoo.
