Kyalite Hotel was built in the 1850s on the banks of the Wakool River as a stopover for travelers crossing the river by punt. In 1888 the original hotel burn down and in 1890 the existing pub was built as it still stands. Today, people come to visit Kyalite for the renowned camp and fishing along the Edwards and Wakool rivers. The Pub is the community meeting place where many a yarn and story are told from the past and present day. It is the place to stay with cold beer, amazing meals, and good old country hospitality. Jodie and Joel have taken over the pub in 2020 and welcome all visitors to the area whether it’s for the day, an overnight, or a longer stay.
